Originally for the 1996 Centennial Summer Olympics, After the Olympics and Paralympics the stadium was transformed into Turner Field, home of the Atlanta Braves. During renovation, the north half of the stadium was demolished to accommodate the requirements of an MLB field. Known for its successful combination of nostalgic old-time baseball and state of the art entertainment features it is a staple for Atlanta and the MLB.
